Surprise: I Got Showered with Love for Baby Reese. :)
For a couple of days, I was under the assumption that I would be heading to a late birthday celebration of my good friend Choi on May 22, 2016, 7 pm at Astoria Plaza, Shaw Blvd. Last Sunday, I went to the said place, together with my husband (kasabwat din pala haha) and I was completely surprised when they opened the door to reveal most of my close friends who had gathered for a surprise baby shower for me! What surprise me more was the presence of my family from Pampanga. I didn’t expect anything at all so it was really sweet of everyone to make so much effort to organize everything.. from the beautiful decorations to the cute cupcakes and great food that was served.
So, later I found out that my friend Choi and Pau, together with my husband planned for a baby shower, gathering my family and some of my close friends to celebrate the coming of my first child. They booked a room in Astoria Plaza and decorated the living area with flowers, bear, angels and art stuff:) Bunches of pink stuff, sweets and cupcakes at the dessert bar. I was told that 3 hours before I arrived, they were busy decorating, cooking, and preparing this wonderful surprise.
See pictures below during their preparation.
I was fascinated at how everything looked so perfect.
But of course, the main thing was that I had a roomful of special people in my life to celebrate it with.
Started the program by a prayer led by my sister in law ate Gene.
Choi prepared some games…
”Wishes for baby Reese".
the Draw Baby Challenge:)
and the trending funny game chubby bunny which made us all laugh so hard.
I love how everything went out!
I love the collection of polaroid pics that was framed later on in a DIY box. Then they put all their wishes for Baby Reese inside. <3
Most of the decorations was done by our talented friend Zel. She is very expert at doing these things, since she's a gifted when it comes to art.
I was so touched by all of the sweet gifts they put in a box.
Thank you to everyone who came and made this such a special and meaningful day for me and for my husband.
You all made my baby shower so special. Thanks so much for the friendship that we share. Really love all of you!
Needless to say, my heart is overflowing.
The best part of the day was having all these special people take their time and come share my joy with me. This makes me very grateful.
And here’s everyone who made it that day! Lots of love!!
Here are some of my favorite photos from my truly wonderful surprise baby shower!
Last month, my sister want to set up a baby shower for me and I told her to just cancel it because most of my friends are in abroad and others are very busy. I thought no one can attend.
That's why I was genuinely shocked and had no clue that they had been planning this for weeks now. I’m so touched and humbled by all the love from my family and friends.
I would also like to say thank you to my WUDA Family for the surprise baby shower in the office last May 24, 2016.
While taking my afternoon break with a treat from my ITDev Support, I have no idea that they are preparing something special for me.
It’s been an amazing 9 months so far, and I think I’ve been blessed with an amazing pregnancy. I didn’t really suffer at all from morning sickness, or most of the usual stuff that pregnant women go through. Yes, there were some usual discomforts, but generally, it has been great. The hospital bag’s been packed, and everything purchased… so am just waiting for the big day where we’ll officially become parents! A new journey awaits… :)
You have the sweetest group of friends! May God bless you with a smooth normal delivery :) but whether it's a C-section, as long as baby is okay will still be a blessing..
