The Bride-To-Be

 February 01, 2015

Photography: 54 South stillsxfilms
Location: Pasig Wildlife Park
Make up: DIY

Before I feature the beauty shots for bride-to-be,  I want to share a few inspiring words from my partner. I can't stop myself from smiling after reading this. To have someone who is very sure that he wants to spend the rest of his life with you~ is one of the greatest blessing in a relationship:)

At ikaw yun .."

Ayiiih! :) andami kong kilig <3 haha.

Gelo and Aiza Pre-Nup Pictorial: Part 1:)

Photography by: 54 South stillsxfilms

The last time I did a photoshoot was for modelling stuff. But this time~ it's a bit different. Pre-nup! Whoah! Time flies so fast. :)

Our Pre-Wedding pictorial is very memorable to us. Not just because of the wonderful moments during the photoshoot but because of how many times we had to rescheduled it for so many reasons:

***December 21,  2014
I was so excited, I've searched a lot of themes and ideas. I even organized in my mind all the clothes I want to wear but three days before the 1st scheduled pictorial, Gelo had a severe tummy ache and was hospitalized. He underwent to operation for the removal of his appendix. :(

***January 03, 2015
Grandma passed away on the first day of the new year. And after 3 days, Gelo's grandma also died :-(

**January 11, 2015

We have to cancel it again to pay respect for the burial of Anda Sima (Gelo's grandma).

**January 18, 2015

The rain started to pour heavily. Oh Storm! T__T I was so worried I prayed silently. I told myself last na to, if hindi pa to matuloy.. hindi ko na alam.. Surprisingly, all went well.
Answered Prayer + Happy pictorial + Additional Pre-nup Photoshoot= Blessing! :)
When I almost looked the situation in negative side, positive things happened.

Pre-Wedding Photoshoot Part 1
Make up by: Renan Lim
Location: Laguna

We supposed to do our whole shoot in Japanese Garden, but heavy rain was a hindrance.
They did some test shots.. And they just let us have some "remembrance photos" in this beautiful place. Kahit hindi na mashado kita yung view sa sobrang lakas ng ulan. Sadness consuming my thoughts, seems like rain don't want to stop. But I believe in the word Faith. Magiging ok ang lahat. haha! :) Kamusta naman ang make up at layo ng binyahe namin if maresched nanaman diba. Haha! :))

Change location. We went to UP LB but we were not allowed by the guard-on-duty.
Few amazing shots below:

Final Destination: National Arts Center
Luckily we had a lot of great shots here. :)

And for the final shots for pre-nup pictorial part 1: time to play

Overall: Super Great Day! :)

Tips:
It's very important to get comfortable with your photographers/videographers.
They will help you come out of your shell and direct you to act naturally and show up all those genuine smiles and sweetness. And believe me, the result is awesomeness. Super Thanks to 54 South for being so patient! :)

Before your photo shoot, research for the theme you want to have based on your interest and what you love to do as a couple. Discuss it with your photographers. For sure, they will provide you a lot of suggestions to add with your ideas. The place for your shoot will be based on your chosen theme.
Check for permits and other fees so everything's set on the day of the shoot.

Relax. Smile. Stay Beautiful.

Enjoy Life! and Love every moment <3

January 24, 2015: The week after our first shoot , we had a car accident in Pampanga while on our way for giving of invitation to our relatives. Thank God we're safe, no serious physical injuries. Just a bruise in my right hand.  But unfortunately, we had to rescheduled the 2nd shoot again.

Climb for Love: The Pamamanhikan

... After the decision to take the relationship to the next level. We immediately informed our family about all our plans.

As a part of Filipino tradition, Gelo have to go through the stage of pamamanhikan before we get married. He needs to climb for love first. :)

Pamamanhikan have been established by the Philippine pre-colonial Malayan forebears.
It is from the word panik (which means to ascend or to climb a house’s flight of stairs).  The groom-to-be will ask for the girl’s parents’ permission to marry their princess. The custom symbolizes honor and respect for the parents, seeking their blessing and approval as you start down the path towards matrimony.

December 07, 2015 ~The Pamamanhikan
Gelo and his family went to our house for a formal proposal of our marriage. He officially asked my father for my hand and he clearly expressed his intentions. :) *Bravery*

Happy eating with my dad and Gelo's family <3

The wedding arrangements and other plans can be discussed during the pamamanhikan.
Tatay giving his words of wisdom plus kwentuhan with my future in-laws.
The side of the groom will bring foods and drinks for the occasion as form of celebration.

Salo-salo :)

Nomnomnom :3

Family friend, relatives and my siblings :)

Happy us! :)
After getting my dad's permission to get married, we immediately went to my grandma to introduce my future in-laws to her and formally ask for her blessing. I will never forget that emotional moment when she asked them to take good care of me because my mom is not there anymore to look after me. I can't help the tears in my eyes as she cried while saying "kayo na bahala sa apo ko :'). Sadly, she passed away last January 1, 2015 :-(

Asking for my grandma's blessing.
I don't wanna sound emotional because this is actually one of the best moments in my life. But honestly, there's a bit sadness knowing that mom should be here witnessing everything, cooking and preparing delicious meals for Gelo's family, sharing her thoughts regarding the upcoming wedding- but she was not there :(

In preparing for the happiest day of my life, I had to face what made it so sad. But realizing that if only she's alive, she will be happy for us- it give me so much comfort. She was not physically present, I know she's guiding me and Gelo with our journey to forever. *positive spirit*

Visiting Mom

We love you mom! ~so much.

That day ended up with a prayer.
All went well. :)

I would like to say thank you to our immediate family and relatives for being so supportive with all our decisions in life.
